Swedes fail to accept 802.11a
Swedes fail to accept 802.11a - According to this note on Danish newssite ComOn, the Swedish National Post and Telecom Agency will not allow the use of the 5 GHz band for 802.11a. The staed reason is that 802.11a which is wide-band traffic may interfere with satellite radio and other services running in the 5 GHz band. It's a blow for 802.11a, but may end up being a boon for the new 802.11g, which runs in the license-free 2.4 GHz spectrum (like 802.11b).
