Palm’s not Europe
Palm's not Europe - In a move that seems specifically made to alienate European users to the max, Palm's new wireless handheld is useful only to US consumers. The much hyped, i705, finally includes bussiness ready wireless connectivity, and it' based on the palm.net service. Proprietary technology useful only in the US market. HAving waited since the presentation of the Palm VII, their first wireless handheld, for them to realize the power of GSM and develop a wireless handheld for Europe, I think it's time to give up hope, and consider this the final death of Palm outside the US. Having used Palm since my first Palm Pilot 500, way back around 1996, I'm sorry to see it go, but it's being caught up by numerous clever handhelds based on Mcrosoft Pocket PC, and Linux, which deliver connectivity more suited to European markets.
Check out Siemens SX45 for a Pocket PC based handheld with built in GSM.
