Palm Tungsten C to offer Voice over WiFi

Brighthand : Palm Brings VoIP to Tungsten C

And in a bit of already outdated news. In case you hadn't heard yet, Palm has announced that it will join forces with VLI to offer a software phone (Gphone) for their WiFi enabled Tungsten C. The system will base itself on the SIP system.

It's interesting to me because we've just decided to spend some time getting a service offer ready for Voice-over-IP via WiFi, and that will also be based on the SIP protocol.

More information as we close in on the ideal service (probably for the SME market), and get more familiar with the technology and the concepts.

Palm announced today that it is partnering with several technology companies to bring wireless products and services, including Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), to users of its Wi-Fi-enabled Tungsten C handheld.
