Kofi Annan’s IT challenge

While I was away in Armenia trying to do my part in bridging the digital divide, Kofi Annan wrote this article on CNet's news.com

It basically reads as a challenge to the private IT sector to start thinking about the digital divide, and there's an entire section about using low-cost, unlicensed wireless technology to deliver low-cost, reliable internet to the developing world.

That's exactly what we're doing over at wire.less.dk and informal.

Wow, a public endorsement of what we've spent the the last 6 months doing, and from Kofi Annan no less. When you're basically burning through your savings because you belive something is right (right as in GOOD for the world), such an endorsement, even if it has no direct relation to what you're doing is worth a lot. a morale booster.

So at the my first big task after returning from armenia is to write an article and a letter to Kofi Annan, to make ourselves seen in the world of politics.
