European Union opens door to 3G operators

The European commission has decided to allow MM02 and Deutsche Telecom to share their 3G infrastructure investments in Germany. Similar decisions are expected for other key markets in Europe within a few months.

This is a significant development, as it will drastically lower the cash-demands on already cash-strapped operators, and allow them to get to a point where they may be able to get a ROI on their licenses.
