a conference that the danish government has refused to ban, citing democratic rights to meet and freedom of speech. good going denmark. there's is a certain absurdity to the russian stance that they will not discuss peace until the chechens show a real effort and interest in peace, but at the same time, they want to prevent the chechens from meeting to talk things over, and hopefully get one microscopic step closer to a peace-settlement.
